Struttin' with some Barbeque

Hey Y'all--did you know that South Carolina has four types of barbeque sauce? Check 'em out on Saturday Feb. 2nd at a groovy spot called Hello My Name Is BBQ. The V-Tones of Charleston will be there, playing music to lunch by, from noon-2pm. Relax and enjoy the local cuisine. You know where Meeting street meets Highway 26? No, you don't? Well, that's where to find us. Remember, the South means more than just taking the law into your hands! It means taking messy food into your hands, as well.

Free Beginners Ukulele Workshop!

Yes friends, it's that time again---I'll be presenting a  workshop at the Mt. Pleasant (South Carolina) public library entitled "I Got This Ukulele for Christmas, Now What?". It's on Saturday, January 26th at 11am-noon. Bring your uke! We'll discuss tuning, stumming, chording and all this ukulele. Of course this is designed for beginners, but intermediate students may want to show up to hobnob as well. Oh yes, and it's free! Just trying to spread the love, folks....

Dance by Donation: Friday, January 18th

Come One! Come All! The V-tones of Charleston are back! On Friday, January 18th we'll be playing music for the Hot Jazz Dance Club at the Hungry Monks Music School. The school is at 1948 Belgrade, over in West Ashley, and we'll start playing about 8:30pm. Now, if you get there early, say 7:30, then you can get some instruction from local swing dance enthusiast, Stephen Duane. Of course, if you just want to hang out and listen, that's cool too. Usually we charge $10, but friday night is "pay what you can night"--so we thank you in advance!
On stage, we're thrilled to have Roger Bellow and Fuller Condon with us---these guys are fantastic! Plus, the fresh faced Darbie Keck will be on fiddle. It's String Jazz that's designed with your feet in mind.
Big Fun, be there!!!

Dance to 'She Goes He Goes' at Hungry Monks

Dance lessons by Stephan Duane and the "Roaring Twenties Hot Jazz Dance Club" will be provided at 7:30ish, followed by music (8:30-10:30pm) designed with your feet in mind!  Plus, master bassist, Fuller Condon, of the "Two Man Gentleman Band" will be onboard. It's a super-power team up of unbelievable proportions! Whether you come to dance, or just to enjoy the music, you'll be thrilled! Merge with the Convergence! Just $10 (donation), lesson included.
