Put on Your Dancing Shoes!

Whether you're a hoofer or straight outta Palookaville, you can only benefit from time spent with the Roaring Twenties Hot Jazz Dance Club. These good people have been putting on dances and supporting bands like the V-Tones for many years now, and this Sunday-August 4th- it's happening again! Come on over to The Charleston Ballroom Dance Club (1632 Ashley Hall Rd.) and investigate. The Hot Jazz folks present 2 lessons, the Charleston and the Lindyhop, starting at 6pm. Then, thrill to the sounds of the venerable V-Tones at 7:30pm-9:30pm. You can join the fun at anytime throughout the evening, and you can show up solo. Heck fire, sometimes folks just hang out and listen to the music, although it is designed for dancing. Plus, they've got snacks and air conditioning. Lessons, music, snacks, AC, everything for just $10. Pretty cool, huh? The HJDC hosts a dance here every Sunday night.  Join the Merry Throng!

Yo Burrito Yo!

The V-Tones of Charleston
Yo Burrito
downtown Charleston, Wentworth street
Monday, July 29th
6-9pm
free

Our last appearance at Yo Burrito was legendary, and now y'all can be part of the magic, too. Yo Burrito has great wooden floors (perfect for dancing), food and oh yes, drinks! Plus it's an early show, and an all ages show. We had a blast last month! Come ride El Toro de la Musica with us as we clamber across the decades with our time twisting musical sensibilities. Did I mention it's free? Who could ask for anything more?

OUT AND ABOUT ON SATURDAY NIGHT?
Noodle and Roger will rule the roost at O'Hara and Flynn's from 8-11pm. This is a charming little wine bar on Meeting street, next to Hyman's Seafood---a good place to bring visiting relatives or a date. Check it out!

Downtown Saturday Night

Time for some time twisting? Fans of venerable music will enjoy the comfortable atmosphere of O'Hara and Flynn's tonight as Fuller Condon and I attempt musical telepathy.  Fans of the 'Two Man Gentlemen Band' know that Fuller has relocated to Folly Beach.  When he's not in Norway or West Virginia, he has a chance to play the upright bass with the V-Tones. we'll be starting up around 8pm, and usually go to about 11. It's another free show by your community jugband, the V-Tones! Now with ukulele!

V-Tones at the Sparrow on Friday Night

You can catch the versatile V-Tones at the Sparrow on Friday, July 19th. We'll be kicking off the dance party around 10pm (yes, rather late for us, but c'mon the sun doesn't even go down 'til nine)! The Sparrow can be found up in the Park Circle neighborhood of North Charleston, just down the street from Evo Pizza. Plus, it's a free show! Can you believe it? Drink, Dance, Get out of control and Shake off those Blues with the sorcerers of serious silliness--the V-Tones!
