I get to play with Lindsay Holler! She's been playing around Charleston in dozens of configurations, playing all kinds of genres. I've heard her cover Johnny cash and Sonic Youth. Tuesday night, Oct. 8th, she'll be leading the Hollerettes through some sets of Jazz standards, and I'll be on the 4 string Tenor Banjo. That's at Voodoo in Avondale. Also on board is Stuart White (drums) Ben Wells (bass) and Gerald Gregory (keys). This is gong to be a hot show! Wowza! I'm not sure if there's a cover, but If there is it'll be worth it!
Also: Sunday night (Oct. 13th) is Swing Night! The V-Tones are back at the Ballroom Dance Club. Lessons are from 6-7:30pm, with live 'Tones from 7:30-9:30pm. Get yer dance on! Get lucky! $10---thanks Roaring Twenties Hot Jazz Dance Club!
