Blackwater Ukulele Festival!
Whew! It's that time of year again! Each Fall my buddy Jim Ravoira pulls together a massive ukulele festival at Cypress Gardens. This year it's on Saturday, September 13th, and it goes on all day. Admission to the festival is included in the garden admission (which is $10 I think). Now, I'll teach a beginner's workshop bright and early, at 10:30am! The V-Tones will take the stage at 1:30pm, but there'll be lots and lots of other activities--ukulele vendors, the Charleston Hot Shots! boat rides! Jamming! Hula Workshop and demo! Reptilarium! Swamp gardens! Then the whole day ends with an open mic (which is really popular)---so come on out and get tuned with the local ukulele enthusiasts! ALOOOOOOHA!
