Swing Ukulele Basics Workshop
Hey folks, it's time for a Swing Ukulele Basics Workshop with Noodle! It'll be at the Hungry Monks Music School (in West Ashley) on Monday June 6th, from 7-8pm. The cost is $25, and to paticipate you must have a ukulele and be able to play one or two songs all by yourself, all the way through! I'm not going to ask you to perform, but this workshop is for the intermediate player level, so you should be able to get around the uke! The Swing idiom (featuring Jazz-based American music of the Thirties and Forties), is a great way to learn the fundamentals of song structure, cool passing chords, "feel", and of course, the elusive swing rhythym! If you have any questions you can contact me at noodlemcdoodle@yahoo.com. It's bound to be lots of fun!
