V-Tones Love Redux
Redux is a funky art gallery here in Charleston, and we need more funky art down here! They're hosting the Redux Recurring Revival on Satruday, March 3rd, and we're playing. There are many talented musicians here in our tiny town by the sea, and they'll be here: Bill Carson, Stephanie Underhill, Lindsay Holler, DJ Party Dad, Southern Femisphere, Guam, and Rachel Kate, just to mention a few. Who knows? We might even get some of these local hot shots to sit in with us! The event is at Redux, and lasts from 11am to 11pm. They'll also have food trucks, and art activities for everybody. It sounds like a great mixer. We're playing at 4pm, for 45 minutes. So come on downtown, hang out, buy some art and support your local art center, and catch the V-Tones of Charleston! $10
V-Tones at the Hippodrome
Hey Y'all! With the support of Awendaw Green, 105.5 (the Bridge), the Coastal Conservation League, Growfood Carolina, the Sustainability Institute, and other good folks, the Hippodrome is hosting a night of music and glory on Thursday February 23rd. The cost is $10, and yes, you get the V-Tones, but you also get four other singer/songwriters, including local favorite Danielle Howle and Ashevillian wonder-woman Caroline Pond! It's going to be a night to remember! Join us! Doors open 6:30.
Leukemia Fashion Show at Tin Roof
The good people at Runaround Sue have organized a retro-delic fashion show as a benefit for the Leukemia/Lymphoma Society, and the V-Tones will there to help! We're ready to dig into our closets to find the grooviest of the hip threads, and then to play some time-twisting tunes as we spin the decade-o-mometer! The location? Your local psychedelic dungeon, the Tin Roof. The date? Sunday Feb. 19th, 8pm and onward (fashion first, music later), the donation? Just $10!!! Doing good and having fun doing it is what the V-Tones of Charleston is all about: Happy to Help!
My Funny Valentine
Happy St. Valentine's Day, to all! The V-Tones are playing a special dance at Heart Woodfire Kitchen, so come on out for some romance and ambiance. We'll play two sets during the night (7-8:15. 8:45-10pm) and there'll be Swing dance instruction from Stephen Duane. Dining, dancing, drinks and glamour--these are the jewels on the crown of Love! May everyday be Valentine's Day for you. SWAK!!!
V-Tones at Local Market and Coffeebar
Are you ready for a Friday night concert? Yes, of course you are! The V-Tones, "reliable in variation", are preparing for a night of music and fun at Local! For those of your who have traversed good ol' Highway 61 in good ol' West Ashley, it's the coffeeshop that used to have that funky mannequin. We'll be there, (acting as stand-ins for the mannequin) on Friday, February 10th, from 8-10pm. They'll have some yummy food, drinks of all kinds, room for dancing, and live music. Yes! Please come!
