Hey everybody! Thanks for the support--May is going to be quite busy, and I appreciate all the enthusiasm. On Wednesday (April 30th) you can catch the V-Tones at Prohibition for their free dance night--lesson at 7pm, live music 8-11pm. Yee-dowgie!
On Thursday, (May 1st) the VTs will be up in North Charleston at the Sparrow for an early night; that'll be 7:30-10pm. They'll provide classic cocktails, you provide the secret agents!

Be a tourist in your own town! Check out this teeny, yet romantic spot and enjoy wine by candlelight as the Mittens sing songs of love and longing. It's a date night for us, so it might as well be one for you too! O'Hara and Flynn's is next to Hyman's Seafood on Meeting street in the tourist zone. We'd love to see some familiar faces!
The V-Tones of Charleston

This exciting episode of the V-Tones features the "Chicken Pickin'" trio featuring Peter Coish. We plan on getting weird! There is some kind of race involved, and beer. We love Coast Brewery, who are local folks and the people behind the massively successful Brewvival. Let's hang out!

Take Back the Night Rally--Thursday, April 17th
The V-Tones of Charleston
Take Back the Night Rally and Celebration
Thursday, April 17th
Marion Square
6-9pm
Free
The VTs are honored and thrilled to provide music for this event which is presented by People Against Rape. Our longtime fiddler, Mz. Darbie Keck, works with PAR while she completes her degree at the CofC and holds down a job (and plays music)---way to go Darbie! South Carolina, unfortunately, has high rates of sexual assault and abuse, and we can do something about it! By keeping this issue in the public, perhaps we can change the uglier aspects of our culture. This is one way to do it! Come on down to the square and support a good cause---we'll be there.
DIG! it! Busy week for music makers
Whew! Ah yes, I remember---in the Spring it surges! So, Prohibition hosts dance night on Wednesdays, and theV-Tones will be holding it down on April 9th and April 16th. Come in for a free dance (Lindyhop, Charleston, Swing, etc) at 7pm, then experience the wild mercurial sound of the V-Tones from 8-11pm. Totally Free!
On Friday night (April 11th) you can a more intensive dance lesson at Trudy's Dance Studio at 7pm. The VTs play from 8-10pm there, and the cost for everything altogether is $10. Every time we play we tinker with the set list and personnel, so you can see us over and over again and it's never the same!
Saturday (12th) morning, I've got a traditional Jazz trio playing at the Highwire Distillery for a brunch. This is part of the DIG! SOUTH conference and is only open to the DIGnitary level attendees. You know who you are!
Saturday night (12th) V-Tones are back at Prohibition for dinin' and drinkin' music---8-11pm. FREE!
Then Sunday, ( April 13th) I'll be playing a wedding for some local Rock Stars (you know who you are!) Very private!

She Goes He Goes at Prohibition on Saturday night
Step right up folks! Yes, come on inside for some good food, drink, and a band that can't be beat! She Goes He Goes does it all and check out that banjo player! Prohibition's getting better and better, too, with a new dance floor and improved sound system. Plus, folks, it is all free! Yes free! That's Saturday night, April 5th, 8-11pm. You'll be glad you came!
