You'll want to check out Sol Driven Train's website for details---I know they'll have some kind of shuttle (parking can be tough on the I.O.P.) and some of the proceeds will benefit the Surfrider Foundation. H.H. Dalai Lama's birthday celebration

Each year, the good folks at the Charleston Tibetan Center host a massive party in honor of His Holiness, the Dalai Lama, and some of the V-Tones have volunteered to make some joyful music for this occasion! The event in happening on Saturday, July 12th at the Gage Hall (Archdale street). The event runs from 6-9pm and costs $15. They'll have some great food, a short speech about the Dalai Lama, music from the V-Tones and a Tibetan fellow from the Amdo region will present some songs of the nomads from the roof of the world. Of course you don't have to be a Buddhist to attend. The Dali Lama has said that the world doesn't need more Buddhists, per se, just more good people! We're trying our best! So, everyone is welcome!
