Tattooed Moose

Hey everybody! There's a new Tattooed Moose out on Maybank Highway (John's Island), and the V-Tones are playing there on Saturday, November 28th. The cool thing is that it's an early (3-6pm) show, and free, and all ages! Wahoo! We'll be ready to play! Will you?

Jake Shimabukuro!

Well friends, it was a last minute call to play at Earl Klugh's Kiawah Jazz Festival last night. We got to open for the master of the ukulele, Mr. Jake Shimabukuro! Wow--what a thrill. The weather was beautiful, the crowd was really kind, and Jake couldn't have been nicer. I must admit that my usual sense of decorum went out the window as I found myself babbling at Jake! I'm proud of the V-Tones for being a band that can snap into action at anytime and knock out a 2 hour show. Let's also give a big shout out to Lee Barbour, who is our local jazz raconteur and who got us the recommendation. Lee, thanks a million!

O'Hara & Flynn's Winebar

Be a tourist in your own town! Or, be a tourist in my town! Either way, you'll want to pop in to O'Hara & Flynn's, a charming little wine bar on Meeting street, in the heart of Charleston. I'll be there on Friday night  (Nov.6) with Roger Bellow, and on Saturday night (Nov. 7) with Eden Fonvielle, for evenings of mellow, acoustic music. We'll play from 8-11 on both nights, and there is no cover. It's a great place to relax and let the rest of the world go by!
