Charleston Food & Wine Festival

Our sleepy little town has become a Food Destination! Incredible! This year, the V-Tones are playing twice for the Food and Wine Festival.  On Wednesday, March 4th, the Hot Tones version of the V-Tones will be playing traditional jazz at for the opening gala and ceremony. That's 7:30-10:30ish in the Baker Motor tent, Marion Square.
On Saturday, March 7th, The classic 'V-Tones of Charleston' quartet will be playing a more stringy, hot club set in the Music tent from 2:30-3:15pm. That's also in Marion Square.  There'll be lots of other local bands as well. We hope to see y'all there!
Wahoo!
That night (Saturday, March 7th), The Amazing Mittens (Noodle and Eden) are playing at the O'Hara and Flynn's wineshop on Meeting street. We'll be there from 8-11pm. This one is free!

Hot Tones are Hot to Trot!

The Hot Tones are a V-Tones spin-off band featuring some of the finest horn players in town! We'll be at Prohibition for the Wednesday night Swing dance, playing Traditional Jazz (aka "Dixieland"). Yes folks that's Wednesday, February 25th, and there's a free Swing Dance lesson by Stephen Duane at 7pm. Then we'll be playing live music from 8-11pm, I'm on the tenor banjo, with Fuller Condon on upright bass, Matt Sciarro on Clarinet, Stephen Berry on trumpet and Phil King on Trombone. Wowza!

Round 'em up for the Rodeo

Rollin' rollin' rollin'---Food Truck! Howdy Folks--please join a V-Tones trio at the Food Truck Rodeo on Saturday, February 21st. They'll have other bands in addition to our little team, and we'll play at 2pm---plus, Food Trucks! Yeedawgie! It'll be a happenin' somewhere around 1600 Meeting street. Support your local business and your local community jugband. We'll be having fun and so will you IF you're at the Food Truck Rodeo!

This version of the V-Tones is the classic quartet! We'll be doing what we do--making the dance floor bop up and down--while you do what you do which is swinging and getting down! The good people at Prohibition clear out the dining room for a dance floor on Wednesdays and Sundays, so come on a join the merry throng. There are dancers standing by, so you don't need a partner, and you don't need to be an expert---everyone is sincerely most welcome! Come early for the free lesson.  We hope to see you there.

The lovely and talented Mrs. Eden Fonivelle and I will be performing as The Amazing Mittens this year at the cozy downtown spot, O'Hara and Flynn's for Valentine's Day. If you haven't been, you've just got to go--it's wonderful. It's on Meeting street (down here in Charleston, SC) and we play from 8-11pm.
