Sol Driven Train at the Pourhouse for New Year's Eve!

Hey Friends! Once again I have been drafted to be the MC for New Year's Eve at the Pourhouse. What an honor! Sol Driven Train is the band, and wow--do they put on a good show. It's going to be a wonderful and bizarre affair, I'm sure, and SDT always puts on a great show. They mix up genres and write lot of originals---funky, funny, twangy, rocking---they do it all, and they are a great bunch of guys. Let's kick off the HappyNoodleYear with a big communal boogie-down. We'll be glad we did!

We'll be playing from 7:30-9:30pm. It's a potluck, so if you could bring something to share, that'd be wonderful. We've got a great band for this show, including the talented Mr. Roger Bellow and my wonderful wife, Eden Fonvielle. May you all enjoy a safe and peaceful Christmas season filled with Love, Joy and Fun.

POST-PONED DUE TO RAIN: RESET FOR APRIL 25th, more TBA

The Charleston-based organization, People Against Rape, in partnership with MUSC’s National Crime Victims Research and Treatment Center and the Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE) program, is sponsoring the 2013 Take Back the Night event, themed “Shatter the Silence. The event is open to the public and we invite all residents of the tri-county area to come out and make a stand against sexual assault in our community.

Participants will assemble at Brittlebank Park where local experts will provide brief commentary on the importance of raising awareness about and eliminating sexual violence in our community. The event will include a variety of arts-related projects, including recognizing a poetry competition winner and other events encouraging creative expression about the vital need to stop violent sexual crimes.

Along with the serious message about making our communities safe, there will be activities celebrating the strength of survivors of sexual assault and a message of hope and joy about the resiliency of the human spirit. What's your mission? Let's make Charleston fun. You can help---support love music. Oh yes, and it's FREE!

V-Tones at Poetry House

The V-Tones are very, very busy these days, but not too busy to play for the Poetry House in downtown Charleston! We'll be doing just that on St. Patrick's Sunday, March 17th, from 8-10pm. The Poetry House is at 107 Ashley Avenue, and though the event is free, we would really appreciate some tips! It's time to spread the green around, anyway.
